The compressed air goes through the manifold and goes along the outside of the filter assembly.
At the top of the filter is a pressure indicator, which will light up when the filter is under pressure.
The compressed air goes through the vanes of the assembly and this way multiple eddy currents are generated. These make sure that in this stage, 95% of all water, oil and particles are being pressed against the wall.
Then the contamination falls down towards the drain.
Then the rest of the air comes through the internal umbrellas. The rest of the particles will be filtered here and fall down as soon as they have turned into droplets.
This part could be cleaned if necessary.

For contamination that has to be filtered, a drain is necessary. This drain will take care the the liquids, oil and particles will be removed, without opening the filter. Below are the different type of drains.
The float drain works with a ball float that will open when a certain level has been reached to release the contamination.
Internally is a stainless steel ball on a seat, this will move and then the contamination will go out through the outlet.
The manual drain can also be used for emptying the float drain in between.
The timer drain works on a power supply and will open after a certain time. The time interval can be adjusted.
The drain works as a traditional valve with an orifice of 4,5 mm. The ontime can be adjusted from 0,5 seconds to 10 seconds. The off-time is the time between opening and can be adjusted from 0,5 minuts upto 45 minutes.
There is also a test function available and there are indication LEDs.
The automatic drain works with a power supply and will open after a certain time. The time interval can be adjusted. The automatic drain is different because it is more robust. For instance, this drain has a 11 mm orifice.
The drain is working as a motorized ball valve. The time you can adjust is 7 seconds up to 15 minutes for the on-time. Moreover, the power-off time can be adjusted between 4 minutes and 24 hours.
There is also a test function available and there are indication LEDs.
