SMAC

SMAC Corporation was founded in 1990 in Carlsbad, California, with the goal of replacing work that then had to be performed by hands and fingers. Now they have grown into a world leader in the field of Moving Coil technology, with their own patents in their pocket. In 2008, they opened their own Electronics manufacturing center in New Hampshire, focusing on the design and production of incremental linear optical encoders. For a number of years, the New Hampshire office has also focused on designing and building all controllers that SMAC uses in their motion control systems. They also integrate rotary motors and encoders for the actuator group in California.

The electric cylinders from SMAC are distinguished by their ability to function accurately at both very high and low speeds. Their so-called Soft-Land ensures this accurate positioning without disturbing it.

Where time savings are needed, SMAC products are an option. Power, precision and speed are all adjustable. The products are designed to perform at extremely high or low speeds, with a repeatability of 1ms response time.
